My Startup Weekend

So the past weekend I participated in Atlanta Startup Weekend 2. This is a forum where the brightest tech people all hang out to social, drink beer, and startup kick ass companies. My buddy Shaun shared his views and wrote a great recap of what happened so I will not repeat here. I will just briefly list what I have learned from this weekend:

1. If you don't have passion for a startup, walk away

2. Know what you can bring to the table and do your best job

3. Have a clear goal before you start working

4. There are a lot of very talented people in Atlanta and you guys inspire me to learn more about startups

Also, I will admit that during this weekend I was not much help to Seed Stage Records, I was not tech savvy enough to help with the development process, nor was I vocal enough when to discuss the operations and strategy planning. That being said, I have a lot to learn on both the tech side and the business side of a startup. Hopefully when Startup Weekend rolls around next time I will be able to contribute more.
